Matchday 33 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League was action-packed, with Medeama SC sealing the title as the relegation fight heated up ahead of the season’s final round.

Medeama SC were crowned champions following a dominant 5-2 victory over Heart of Lions at the TnA Stadium.
The Mauve and Yellows secured the title with a game remaining, claiming their second league crown and another major success within four seasons. Kelvin Obeng and Derrick Fordjour each netted twice, while Prince Owusu also got on the scoresheet in an impressive performance.
Title challengers Bibiani GoldStars were unable to keep the pressure on after falling to a 3-1 defeat against Dreams FC at the Tuba Astro Turf.
At the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Asante Kotoko lost 3-1 to Bechem United, with experienced striker Augustine Okrah scoring twice to take his season tally to 15 goals and maintain his lead in the scoring charts.
Defending champions FC Samartex 1996 edged Hearts of Oak 1-0 in Samreboi courtesy of Gabriel Osei’s second-half winner at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
Vision FC strengthened their survival hopes with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Nations FC in Abrankese after goalkeeper Hadina Barlu’s costly mistake gifted Faruk Mohammed the decisive goal.
The loss leaves Nations FC further dragged into the relegation scrap. In other results, Berekum Chelsea beat Eleven Wonders 2-0, Aduana FC recorded a 3-1 win over Young Apostles, while Karela United claimed an important 1-0 victory against Swedru All Blacks.
Basake Holy Stars also boosted their chances of survival with an impressive 3-0 away triumph over Hohoe United. With only one round of matches left, the battle to avoid relegation remains fierce, with Swedru All Blacks, Heart of Lions, and Basake Holy Stars all still fighting to stay in the top flight.
