Young Apostles FC boosted their chances of staying up with a convincing 3-0 win over Heart of Lions in their Ghana Premier League Matchweek 27 game at Wenchi Sports Stadium.

Facing relegation pressure, the home team played well and controlled much of the first half. Their strong start paid off in the 31st minute when Claude Shooting Borrtey scored the opening goal.

Borrtey scored again just before halftime, getting his second goal in the 45th minute to give Apostles a 2-0 lead at the break.

Heart of Lions struggled to create clear chances, while the hosts stayed solid at the back and looked dangerous on the break. Apostles secured the win in the 59th minute when Richmond Opoku scored their third goal.

This win gives Apostles a big boost in their fight to avoid relegation, while Lions now face more pressure near the bottom of the table as the season nears its end.
