Every opponent is tough now – Hearts Coach Didi Dramani

The Ghana Premier League’s quality and competitiveness are rising, according to Hearts of Oak coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, who believes the league is advancing despite persistent challenges.

The Phobians have had a strong season under their former Asante Kotoko manager, finishing fourth in the league standings, trailing the current leaders Medeama SC by 8 points.

With 14 matches left in the 2025-26 campaign, Dramani says the title race and battle for survival are wide open, promising plenty of drama ahead.

Dramani spoke about the league, noting that teams are becoming more competitive and evenly matched, and that the time of “easy games” is ending.

He admitted the league’s steady improvement, saying it is now tough to single out any easy opponents. The overall standard has risen, even if some aspects still need work.

The current season has been marked by intense competition and close results, as teams across the league have shown strategic skill and strong rosters. Dramani’s Hearts of Oak have felt that intensity, with opponents always pushing them, no matter their league position. The veteran coach acknowledges ongoing issues with infrastructure, officiating, and management, but he is quick to spotlight the clear progress unfolding on the pitch.

Dramani expects the competition to intensify, with clubs battling for continental dreams, league glory, or just to stay afloat as the season unfolds.
