Injured Belgian-Ghanaian winger Jeremy Doku out till next year

Belgium’s dynamic winger, Jeremy Doku, who proudly traces his roots to Ghana, faces a frustrating spell on the sidelines after an untimely injury rules him out until next year.

Doku, who has been in outstanding form for Manchester City this season, was absent from the Crystal Palace Premier League match.

Pep Guardiola said the dynamic winger won’t be playing in the EFL Cup quarterfinal against Brentford on December 17, 2025.

Doku is not expected back until January, when he can play against Sunderland, Guardiola said.

“Jérémy Doku is out of the game again. “I don’t know when he’ll be back,” Guardiola said. “Maybe New Year, possibly Sunderland, but definitely back.”

The Belgian-Ghanaian winger’s speed has made him a standout player for Manchester City, with 22 appearances, four goals, and five assists this season.

His absence will likely impact the Premier League during its busy December schedule.
