William Saliba signs long-term contract with Arsenal amid Real Madrid interest

Arsenal and William Saliba have settled on a new five-year contract.
Saliba has proven himself to be one of the top Premier League centre-backs, appearing in all 38 top-flight games in the 2023/24 season and missing just three matches last season.
The centre-back, 24, was in the final two years of his contract, but will sign with the Gunners until June 2030.
The club expects the Frenchman, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myles Lewis-Skelly to sign new Arsenal contracts in 2025.
Saliba signed with Arsenal in the summer of 2019 but waited three years for his competitive debut at the start of the 2022/23 season. He has seven goals and has played 139 times in various competitions.
