Andre Ayew, one of the most recognizable Ghanaian football players in recent memory, is still 35 years old and currently plays for French side Le Havre.
The former captain of the Black Stars, who has had a remarkable career, has faced significant criticism during his flaming tenure.
“It’s all about you, focusing on your job and what you must do,” BBC Sport Africa.
“Everything has a good and bad side, so, sometimes, try to understand where the criticism comes from – it can help you. We play football for the people, especially in our country and continent, where we love the game.
“But, today, if somebody is frustrated, they can just write anything (online). That’s where we need to be strong and not pay attention to that.
“You want to make the people happy, (but) when it’s just nonsense talk, push it away.
“With my experience, you need to stay focused and listen to what the coaches, the analysts, and the staff have to tell you. That’s where the real information comes from.”
Andre Ayew’s guidance has been essential in navigating the Black Stars through modern football’s changing environment.
Extensive experience in domestic and international arenas has allowed him to navigate the sport’s challenges and transformations successfully.
He’s confident in the current players and believes they can make Ghana a prominent African football team again.
He’s a dedicated national team member, a role model, and an inspiration to younger players.
Ayew’s strong dedication to the Black Stars emphasizes his love of the game and drive to contribute to the team’s winning efforts.
