Ghana legend Malik Jabir wants Otto Addo sacked after AFCON qualification loss

Ghanaian icon Malik Jabir doubts head coach Otto Addo’s abilities following the Black Stars’ underwhelming performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ghana, the four-time AFCON champions, are in danger of not qualifying for the CAF’s biggest tournament for the first time since 2004 after being defeated by Sudan.
The Falcon Jediane secured a 2-0 victory against the West African powerhouse at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in Libya.
The experienced Ghanaian coach has demanded Otto Addo’s dismissal, claiming he has been unproductive during his second tenure with the national squad.
“Otto Addo must be fired. He has been helpful to our squad during his tenure,” he told Akoma FM in an interview.
To keep their chances alive for next year’s tournament in Morocco, Ghana needs victories against Angola and Niger, and for Sudan to struggle against these opponents.
The Black Stars are set to resume play in November, taking on Niger and Angola in their remaining group F games.
