Andy Murray was left angered by a BBC Scotland reporter on Tuesday after he suggested the British tennis legend should retire from the sport.
Murray plays with a metal hip after career-saving surgery and enjoyed a resurgent 2023 – working his way back inside the world top 50, reaching the final of the Qatar Open on the ATP Tour and registering three titles on the Challenger Tour.
The 36-year-old has endured a poor run, though, producing one win across his last nine matches – including a first-round Australian Open exit two weeks ago.
Speaking after his early Melbourne exit, Murray admitted that he may have played the Grand Slam event for the last time and hinted he might hang up his racket.
