Ghana’s coach, Otto Addo, is confident that the Black Stars will qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
He provided reassurances after the senior national team’s goalless draw against Sudan in the first leg of the Matchday three games.
Despite their improved display, the Black Stars couldn’t find the back of the net against the Falcons.
The four-time African champions are currently in the 3rd position in Group F.
Speaking to the press post-game, the 45-year-old emphasized that they control their fate despite the challenging beginning.
He believes they will win all their remaining games and qualify for the tournament in Morocco next year.
“It is still in our own hands. we win our next games, and we will qualify,” the former Borussia Dortmund assistant coach said.
“We will do it,” he assured.
The Martyrs of February Stadium will host the return leg between Sudan and Ghana on Monday, October 14. The match will begin at 13:00 GMT.
In the aftermath of the upcoming game, the Black Stars will take on Angola away and then have Niger as their final opponents in Group F.
