British tennis star Emma Raducanu breezed past American Shelby Rogers to book her spot in the second round of the Australian Open on Tuesday.
Raducanu, playing her first Grand Slam match since last year’s tournament at Melbourne Park, looked confident as she beat her opponent in straight sets.
The 21-year-old saw her 2023 season decimated by injuries and the Australian Open is just her second tournament back after three different surgeries.
Raducanu, who sensationally won the US Open as a qualifier in 2021, will next face Chinese world No.94 Wang Yafan as she bids to reach the third round.
