Asante Kotoko’s head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, aims to integrate young players from the club’s youth system into the first team for the 2024-25 football season.
Coach Ogum claimed in an interview that a few teenagers from the youth team might surpass the current first-team players.
“The goal of this project is to ensure a smooth transition of these young players into the first team,” Coach Ogum explained.
“We will register some of these boys, and as the league progresses, we will give them a chance to experience it. We aim to assess their potential and, when appropriate, allow them to train with the first team and play when possible.”
Coach Ogum believes that some of these youth players have the potential to challenge the first-team players and make a positive impact on the team’s performance.
Asante Kotoko is determined to win at least one trophy in the upcoming season, following a season without silverware.
