Following Nebojsa Kapor’s departure, Medeama SC’s Technical Director, Augustine Evans Adotey, has been named interim head coach.
Adotey, the coach who led the Mauves and Yellows to victory in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season, will manage the team until they find a permanent replacement.
Medeama’s 3-2 defeat against Vision FC in Tema resulted in a fifth-place finish and Kapor’s confirmed exit.
“Both parties failed to reach an agreement on contract renewal,” the club stated Tuesday.
Despite his 21 points from 13 games, he was three points behind the top spot. The team’s inconsistency led to the mutual termination of his contract.
With Adotey back in charge, Medeama hopes his experience and understanding of the team will help them improve their performance and rechallenge the title.
