Asante Kotoko reports a fan died from a stabbing after violence erupted at their matchday 19 game versus Nsoatreman FC.
The club officially announced a supporter died from injuries suffered in the chaos at Sunyani Hospital.
The Kotoko team’s visit to the hospital in Kumasi ended with them receiving devastating news.
The referee brandished four red cards during a chaotic 1-0 defeat for Kotoko as players from opposing teams clashed. Following the final whistle, the situation deteriorated rapidly, leading to violent clashes among fans.
Following the violence, Kotoko demands that the Ghana Football Association immediately investigate and hold those responsible accountable.
