Sports and Recreation nominee Kofi Adams advocates for diverse funding in various sports.
Multiple income streams are essential for sustained growth and development.
He claims this approach is consistent with past parliamentary debates on sports finance and furthers his aim of diversifying income across different sports.
“I think that is already being looked at. I remember that issues were raised about this in Parliament. The only unfortunate thing is that we couldn’t take the report of the committee that went into looking into areas of the sports before the 8th Parliament was terminated.”
“The 9th Parliament is back, and we will see what we can do about that report. Whether it will be re-tabled or it could be referred to the committee again, they will look at it and submit it.
“So we are not ruling out anything, so let’s go through the processes first. He added, “Let’s reach an agreement, and then we can evaluate the resources and potential results from the new technology.”
