Ghana Badminton launches youth scholarship program

To support young Ghanaian athletes, Ghana Badminton partnered with the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and the World Academy of Sport (WAoS) to create a dual-career scholarship program.

This program provides 100 scholarships to talented badminton players (ages 15-18), fostering career growth and community engagement.

Designed for flexibility, this online course allows athletes to combine education and intense training, promoting academic and athletic success.

The three-month program equips participants with valuable life skills, enhancing their career prospects and leadership readiness.

Successful applicants will earn a postgraduate certificate in International Sports Management from the University of London upon finishing the program. This certificate will grant access to emerging sports technologies and elite sporting careers.

Ghana Badminton encourages young athletes, parents, coaches, and community leaders to take advantage of this groundbreaking opportunity.

This initiative gives Ghana’s future sports stars a path to success, thanks to the growing link between sports and education.

Governing badminton in Ghana since 1962, Ghana Badminton focuses on creating world-class athletes and fostering strong leadership.

This scholarship program promotes sport’s impact on education and positive social change by supporting a new generation of athletic champions.
