Ghana’s National Sports Authority (NSA) seeks bids to renovate football fields to FIFA standards.
This initiative aims to upgrade sports facilities, minimize injuries, and maximize performance with better playing conditions year-round.
An NSA website statement says the Authority’s budget will fund the project. Our objective is to create world-class surfaces that satisfy international standards.
The statement highlighted this initiative’s importance in upholding Ghana’s football quality and providing world-class training facilities for its players.
This action comes after CAF banned Baba Yara Stadium, requiring a complete overhaul of playing fields in Ghana’s national stadiums.
Despite CAF’s eventual approval for Black Stars games at Accra Sports Stadium, the NSA and Ghana FA hired a Dutch firm to evaluate the fields. The experts recommended that the surfaces be reconditioned.
Bidders can obtain tender documents from the Ghana Electronic Procurement System (e-GP) portal or the NSA office, Starlet 91 Road. Electronic submissions, including a 2% tender security, are due by January 6, 2025.
The NSA stressed the project’s role in boosting player performance and making Ghana’s facilities competitive globally.
