Medeama FC will begin their 18-day pre-season training in Koforidua on Thursday, July 25, 2024, in preparation for the 2024–25 Ghana Premier League season, according to the club’s announcement.
A comprehensive schedule for the Mauve and Yellow’s pre-season has been announced starting Friday, July 26.
The All Nations University School Field will be the training ground for the 2022–23 Premier League champions, who will also play a series of friendly matches in the Eastern Region.
Coach Nebojsa Kapor will lead the team in training at Akoon Community Park on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
Following that, the players and officials will travel to Koforidua, the Eastern Regional capital, for an 18-day pre-season training session starting Friday, July 26. The team is scheduled to return to Tarkwa on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
The team is scheduled to train at the recently completed T&A Stadium for the first time on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. This training session is in preparation for a special match on Friday, August 16, 2024, celebrating the re-opening of the upgraded 10,400-seat stadium.
The Akoon Community Park was previously used, but now the Gold Fields-funded stadium is ready.
The newly constructed stadium, capable of holding 10,000 people, includes modern amenities and a top-notch playing surface.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has received Medeama’s official submission and designated it as its main venue.
The club will use Akoon Park as a backup location, and Umat Park will serve as the training facility.
