Asante Kotoko will fight for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title until the end, according to head coach Abdul Karim Zito.
Zito’s optimism about his team’s chances has remained unaffected by their scoreless draw against the Gold Stars in Week 32.
“We can’t give up until it’s officially over,” Zito said in a post-match interview. “Anything can happen in the last two games, and we’ll fight till the end.”
Kotoko is in third place in the league with 55 points, five behind the leaders, Nations FC.
Winning the title hinges on Nations FC losing their remaining two matches while the Porcupine Warriors win theirs.
Despite facing improbable odds, Zito’s resolve is unshaken; he’s convinced his team can still mount a comeback to win the championship.
The Kumasi giant faces a tough home match against Medeama, followed by a challenging away game against Vision FC, who are battling relegation.
We’re still in the title race – Karim Zito
