The GFA has revealed a significant boost in prize money for local football tournaments.
The Ghana Premier League, Division One League, women’s football, and other competitions will receive a total of GHS 2,006,000 in distribution.
During the 30th Ordinary Congress in Pampram, this was revealed at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence.
The GFA President, Kurt Okraku, highlighted the association’s commitment to honoring greatness and encouraging clubs to attain success.
The prize money breakdown remains undisclosed, but more information will be provided with the launch of each competition. The Division One League will begin on September 27 and the Premier League on September 6.
The start date for the Women’s Premier League is October 18.
The aim of the increased prize money is to raise the competition level and enhance the quality of football in Ghana.
