Black Stars coach, Otto Addo, has lauded captain Jordan Ayew for his exceptional leadership and influence within the national team.
The Leicester City forward was key to Ghana’s qualification for the tournament held in Canada, Mexico, and the USA.
Jordan had 14 goal involvements across 10 appearances, with seven goals and seven assists.
Otto Addo praised Ayew’s reliability and leadership during a chat with Joy Sports.
“Since the day I came, he’s been good,” the 49-year-old said.
“I predominantly see him as a centre forward. He’s a great leader. The most important thing is that we have clarity and unity in the team.”
Ayew will also participate in his third FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, after playing in 2014 and 2022.
Ghana will appear in the World Cup for the fifth time next June. The Black Stars will discover their group-stage opponents for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on December 5.
Otto Addo highlights Jordan Ayew’s impact and leadership qualities.
