Otto Addo said Ghana’s national football team improved in their 2-1 loss to Germany, finding positives in the performance just days after a heavy defeat to Austria.
After losing 5-1 in Vienna, many expected Ghana to struggle again, but they played with more discipline in Stuttgart. The team stayed competitive, and substitute Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored to briefly tie the game.
Addo said the team learned from their earlier setback and valued the chance to play strong opponents. He emphasized that the squad would take important lessons from the loss.
Even though this was Ghana’s fourth straight loss, after defeats to Japan and South Korea, the team showed progress. The Black Stars will play Mexico and Wales in May as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they will face Panama, England, and Croatia.
