New Black Stars management committee: Only Dr. Randy Abbey and Moses Armah are capable

Alhaji Karim ‘Grusah, owner and bankroller of King Faisal, questions the new Black Stars Management Committee’s ability to succeed, only praising Dr. Randy Abbey and Moses Armah.
Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, unprecedented in two decades, prompted the GFA to establish a new five-member committee for the national team.
Stephen Appiah, a former Black Stars captain, will be vice chairman and handle player relations, while Dr. Randy Abbey will serve as chairman. Samuel Aboabire and Moses Armah are in charge of matchday operations, and Dr. Richard Nsenkyire has been given special team tasks.

Alhaji Grusah, in an interview on Onua FM, voiced doubts about the appointees’ qualifications, highlighting only Dr. Abbey and Moses Armah as suitable.
“Defeat was unacceptable to Randy Abbey during his time at Hearts of Oak. “That’s where he rose to prominence,” he commented.
“When he joined the Ghana Football Association, he stated his mind as it is because he has it all.”
He commended Randy Abbey’s leadership in guiding Heart of Lions back to the Ghana Premier League. Furthermore, Grunsah praised Medeama SC owner Moses Armah, calling him exceptional.
In contrast, Grunsah was less optimistic about the remaining members. He acknowledged Stephen Appiah’s commitment but criticized his withdrawal from the previous Black Stars management committee and absence from meetings.
Regarding FC Samartex President Dr. Richard Nsenkyire, Grunsah said winning the Ghana Premier League does not guarantee national team success.
“Is this a proper league you can’t win away but only your home games? I can only give him the benefit of the doubt because I don’t know what he has done in addition to that.
“I was in the same zone with him in Division One, and he knows me, and I know him. He must know that the Black Stars is not that you can intimidate opponents with your supporters.”
Grunsah offered a frank evaluation of Samuel Aboabire, the Greater Accra Regional FA Chairman, deeming him incapable.
Grunsah’s recent comments contribute to the increasing uncertainty surrounding the new committee’s capacity to lead the Black Stars back to winning ways, especially after Ghana’s AFCON disqualification.
