Ghana and Tottenham star Mohammed Kudus was thrilled about the Black Stars’ placement in Group L for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which includes England, Croatia, and Panama.
After the draw, the Tottenham Hotspur playmaker stated that Ghana’s qualification delivers a strong message of the team’s growing global status.
“To qualify for the World Cup alone is a big statement from us and shows what we can do,” Kudus noted, emphasising the significance of securing a spot at the tournament.
He added that there is still time before the World Cup begins, saying: “There’s still a bit of time until that, so we just focus here for now, and then definitely we’ll prepare towards that.”
Kudus said the England match would be a thrilling challenge.
“It’ll be interesting, I’m looking forward to it. Playing against most of the players in the country here and some of the other guys that play here as well, we are pretty much aware of the side we are facing and the quality they have. But we will definitely be up for it and will be ready,” he said.
The England game will likely draw worldwide interest as Kudus plays against old teammates, rivals, and Premier League stars.
