I felt dead after losing to Sudan—Ghana coach Otto Addo

Ghana coach Otto Addo has revealed his emotions after the 2-0 loss to Sudan in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
Following losses to Angola and a draw with Niger, the Black Stars were eager to get back to winning ways.
In the first leg, Ghana was held to a goalless draw at Accra Sports Stadium before losing 2-0 in the return leg in Libya.
In an interview with the Ghana FA media, the 45-year-old shared that the loss had a personal impact on him, but he recognized the role of his family and friends in assisting him in regaining his focus.
Addo described the emotional difficulties of recent days yet highlighted the uplifting effect of support from family and friends.
“To be honest, I was like, the last two days I was dead, but now I got a lot of positive feedback also and a lot of support from family and friends, and this is the time where I need them, and also I think all the players, all the team needs it and this brought me back on track,” Addo said.
With only two points after four games, Ghana is in a risky position following their loss to Sudan.
To secure a place in the tournament, Black Stars must win against Angola and Niger in their final group games in November and hope that Sudan drops points.
