Accra Hearts of Oak SC midfielder, Mohammed Hussein, has been banned for three games following a post-match brawl during the Super Clash with Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The 21-year-old was convicted of unsportsmanlike conduct against the officials after the match.
The Porcupine Warriors beat their rivals 1-0 in a tense Super Clash on November 9, 2025. The winning goal came from a penalty by Morifing Donzo in the 45th minute.
Phobians’ late equaliser was disallowed after Wayo’s acrobatic effort was offside.
Displeased with the call, some Phobian players charged at the match officials after the final whistle. Hussein was caught aggressively arguing with the ref and his crew as security intervened.
After a month-long investigation, the GFA Disciplinary Committee has charged the player with misconduct. The committee has also warned the player not to repeat similar offences.
The GFA prosecutor announced on Monday that the suspension takes effect right away.
He’s unavailable for the final two 2025 games against Aduana FC, Samartex 1996, and Medeama SC next year. Furthermore, the club received a GH₵10,000 fine and a warning for the misconduct.
Hearts of Oak’s supporters felt their behaviour after the game was inappropriate. Some fans tossed items onto the playing surface. The fine must be paid within two weeks.
