Hearts of Oak penalized for fan behavior after Kotoko loss

The Ghana Football Association has charged Hearts of Oak for misconduct by their supporters.
The officials made the decision after a chaotic scene following the final whistle. The referee’s important calls were contested by Hearts players and fans, specifically a first-half penalty given to Kotoko and a late offside ruling that nullified Mawuli Wayo’s equaliser.
Video evidence captured enraged fans tossing objects onto the field while security tried to maintain order. The GFA mentioned violations of Articles 16(2)(b) and 34(6)(d) of the Disciplinary Code, as well as the Premier League Regulations, 2025.
The deadline for Hearts to answer the charges is Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
