GPL: Karim Zito impressed with Kotoko players mentality against Hearts of Oak

Asante Kotoko’s coach, Abdul Karim Zito, commended his players for fighting to win their match versus Hearts of Oak.
The Porcupine Warriors performed well away from home to defeat the Phobians in the first Super Clash.
Morifing Donzo’s single goal decided the game between the two Ghanaian giants, and Asante Kotoko won.
Karim Zito, in a post-match interview, noted the match’s difficulty, saying his players’ determination helped them win.
“Everybody knows Hearts and Kotoko, how difficult. You see the supporters today, everybody is happy. It was tough, but the mindset was there to win this game because winning this game would help us towards our objective,” Karim Zito said.
Asante Kotoko remains undefeated in their first six matches of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, after defeating Hearts of Oak.
Three excellent matches have put the Reds in a great spot to compete for the league title.
