The Ghana Football Association has reportedly reached out to former Morocco coach Walid Regragui about the open head coach position for the national team.
Ghana does not have a permanent coach at the moment, following Otto Addo’s dismissal due to poor results during the March international break. The Black Stars lost 5-1 to Austria and then 2-1 to Germany.
Reports say the FA is looking at experienced coaches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and Regragui has emerged as a top candidate following his recent departure from Morocco.
Regragui gained worldwide attention by leading Morocco to a historic semi-final at the 2022 World Cup and is known for his tactical skills and leadership. Talks are reportedly ongoing as Ghana seeks a coach who can deliver quick results and long-term stability.
