The GFA has partnered with APL, a Media General subsidiary, to bolster the Ghana Premier League and keep top players.
As per the deal, every Premier League club will get GHS 1 million before the season begins. The GFA thinks this money will give clubs stability, helping them run better and develop players.
This action is meant to help GFA retain players in the local league by increasing financial rewards and facilities. The goal of this initiative is also to make the league more appealing to foreign players and possible investors.
Clubs receive both initial support and performance-based payments, the latter linked to their season-end league rank. The GFA sees this as a method to promote fair competition and improve the league.
The agreement with Adesa Production Limited should improve exposure and commercial value. The GFA has also agreed commercially with LeLe Tasty Foods Ghana Limited and Kasapreko Company Limited to further support its development agenda.
GFA believes the New Adesa Production contract will aim to curtail player exodus
