Otto Addo, head coach of the Ghana national football team, has called up four new players for the upcoming international friendlies against Austria and Germany.
The newcomers — Derrick Luckassen, Patric Pfeiffer, Marvin Senaya, and Daniel Agyei — have been included in the 26-man squad for the two warm-up matches as Ghana prepares for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Luckassen, a central defender for Pafos FC, came through the AZ Alkmaar academy and has played for several European clubs, including PSV Eindhoven, Hertha BSC, RSC Anderlecht, Kasımpaşa S.K., Fatih Karagümrük S.K., and Maccabi Tel Aviv F.C. He recently helped Pafos win the 2024/25 Cypriot league title and scored the club’s first UEFA Champions League goal.
Senaya plays in Ligue 1 for AJ Auxerre and has previously featured for RC Strasbourg Alsace, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, and FC Lausanne-Sport since his professional debut in 2021.
Forward Daniel Agyei plays for Turkish side Kocaelispor and has previously represented Leyton Orient F.C., Crewe Alexandra F.C., Oxford United F.C., and Burnley F.C.
Meanwhile, Pfeiffer — currently with SV Darmstadt 98 in the 2. Bundesliga — strengthens Ghana’s defensive options.
The Black Stars will face Austria in Vienna on March 27 before travelling to Stuttgart to take on Germany on March 30, 2026.
