Following their win over the Central African Republic, Stephen Appiah, Vice Chairman, has lauded the team’s performance.
Ghana’s victory over Central African Republic was 5-0 at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknès on Wednesday, improving their chances of Mundial qualification.
Goals from Salisu, Partey, Djiku, Ayew, and Sulemana sealed the emphatic win.
Appiah felt very impressed by the team’s performance and surprised by the result.
“I am so happy. The players have made us proud, and we are looking forward to Sunday,” he told Joy Sports.
“We are here because of the players. They have made us proud. Per what I saw at the two training sessions, I knew we were going to win, but I wasn’t expecting 5-0,” he added.
Ghana leads Group I by three points, with Madagascar second before the final matches.
The African champions will play Comoros in Accra on October 12, looking to end their World Cup qualifying strong.
