The Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed that the Black Stars will play Germany in a high-profile friendly to prepare for the 2026 World Cup.
Ghana faces Panama, England, and Croatia in Group L, within the USA, Canada, and Mexico co-hosted tournament.
GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum confirmed that the Black Stars will play Germany in Stuttgart on Monday, March 30, in a friendly before the global event.
Ghana hopes to do better than before at the World Cup, having failed to reach the knockout stage in 2014 and 2022.
Their 2026 campaign starts June 17 in Toronto versus Panama, then England in Boston on June 23. The final group stage game is against Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
Ghana is set to play in its fifth World Cup next year, having previously competed in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2022. The Black Stars’ most unforgettable performance was reaching the quarter-finals at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
