The Ghana Football Association has announced that Otto Addo has been dismissed as head coach of the national football team.
This decision was made just hours after Ghana lost 2-1 to Germany in Stuttgart, following a 5-1 defeat to Austria in Vienna. Reports say an emergency meeting between the FA, the Sports Ministry, and the coach led to this outcome.
In a statement, the association confirmed that Addo is leaving his role immediately. They thanked him for his service and wished him well in the future.
The FA also said that more information about the Black Stars’ new coaching plans will be shared soon. Ghana is set to play Mexico and Wales in May as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
