Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito revealed his game plan after his team’s CAF Confederation Cup qualification.
The FA Cup winners advanced after beating Kwara United 5-3 on aggregate.
Kotoko won the first leg 4-3 at the Accra Sports Stadium last week and then won the second leg 1-0 in Abeokuta at the M.K.O.
After the match, Zito mentioned Kotoko’s first game was a learning experience.
“A lot changed because in our football industry we have occupational hazards, and that is what happened to us in Ghana, Zito said.
“We didn’t repeat it here; we revisited the first leg, and we saw the space and time we gave them, and we worked on that.
“We knew they had experienced players. We knew when we denied them the space and time, they couldn’t play us. So, we must do that and search for the goal in the second half,” the veteran gaffer added.
The Porcupine Warriors will play Wydad, a strong Moroccan team, in a difficult second-round match in October.
Asante Kotoko will now focus on the Ghana Premier League, facing Heart of Lions in Matchday 4 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
