Azamati of Ghana finishes second in the men’s 100-meter heat 1

The heats for the highly-anticipated men’s 100m event at the Olympics began on Saturday morning.
Azamati from Ghana competed in the first heat, occupying lane 6.
He finished in second place behind Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson, who currently holds the world’s best time of 9.77 this year.
In the first men’s 100m heat, Great Britain’s Jeremiah Azu was disqualified for a false start, while Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson emerged as the winner with a time of 10 seconds flat.
Reynaldo Espinosa of Cuba came in third, with Benjamin Azamati of Ghana taking second place in the race after crossing the finish line in 10.08.
Despite Azu’s efforts to defend himself, the decision was already made.
The athlete from Britain was guided off the track.
Heat 2
Kenya’s Ferdinand Omanyala won the second heat with a time of 10.08, Italy’s Chituru Ali finished second, and Germany’s Joshua Hartmann took third.
Heat 3
British champion Louie Hinchliffe impressed by winning Heat 3, defeating reigning world champion Noah Lyles. 
He achieved a time of 9.98, narrowly missing his record of 9.98.
He started strong, but his performance began to decline around 95m.
Despite a less-than-ideal beginning, Noah Lyles managed to finish second in 10.04.
Heat 5
Abdul Rashid Saminu from Ghana secured third place in Heat 5.
