Asante Kotoko interim management committee member Kwesi Appiah believes the club will improve over the second half of the season.
The Porcupine Warriors had a tough start, but finished second with 30 points, with only two losses in 16 games during the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
As the second half of the season starts this weekend, Kwesi Appiah, now coaching Sudan, anticipates improvement.
“I’m part of the IMC, and we thank God they’re also picking up. It won’t be easy, especially in the second round of the league, so I am hoping that we try to pick up,” he said.
“The key problem we consistently face,” he noted, “is that some players had just joined the team in the second round and needed time.”
“At times, we don’t have patients; however, I believe things are beginning to improve.” I hope the second round they’re able to play and everyone who supports Kotoko back home gets happy,” he added.
In the meantime, Asante Kotoko have strengthened their squad with midfielder Prince Badu.
Swedru All Blacks will host the Reds at the Swedru Stadium for Matchday 17, and the Reds are unbeaten in their last three league games.
