2024/25 GPL Triumph: The town’s joyfulness brings me happiness – Coch Frimpong Manso

Bibiani GoldStars FC made history by winning their first Ghana Premier League title last Sunday.
Western North’s club dominated Accra Lions FC 4-0 at the full Dun’s Park, clinching the 2024-25 title with 63 points, surpassing Asante Kotoko SC and Hearts of Oak.
Head coach Frimpong Manso’s fairytale season culminated in GoldStars’ emphatic victory, a remarkable achievement considering he only joined the club this season after Tano Bofoakwa’s relegation.
Manso’s arrival filled the gap left by the late Michael Osei (a former Asante Kotoko midfielder), instantly making the team a title contender and winner.
An emotional Frimpong Manso said during a post-game interview,
“You can see everybody is pleased. The whole town is happy, and so I am overwhelmed. For me, the joy of the town makes me so happy.”
The celebratory mood in Bibiani, where fans flooded the streets, was perfectly captured by his words; the season surpassed all expectations. This victory secures GoldStars a spot in the 2025-26 CAF Champions League.
Beyond a football title, Bibiani’s win signifies a moment of collective pride, unity, and the realization of what’s possible with determination and faith.
