Newly appointed Hearts of Oak coach, Didi Dramani, shared his vision for the Phobias following his two-year contract signing in Accra on Monday.
Following the reassignment of Aboubakar Ouattara to a special advisor role, the ex-assistant coach of the Black Stars aims to bring stability and direction to the team.
“Hearts has a huge tradition and we need to build a clear culture within this tradition, and we need to consolidate a clear philosophy and a clear style of play. So that when we appear, people can tell this is Hearts of Oak. When our youth teams are playing, everybody will appreciate that they try to replicate what the first team is doing,” Dramani said in his first engagement with the media.
“We try to manage this squad size in order to make it more challenging for players so that everyone will fight for the real world to be. We appreciate what is there already. I believe there will be one or two infusions that will make it more consolidated. And that is what team building is about. Team building is not a race, It’s a marathon. And if you understand what a marathon is, it means it’s over a period, and that’s why I said it’s a progressive development approach that we try to institute.”
His previous tenure at Asante Kotoko included two Ghana Premier League title wins.
Dramani will face his former club in the 2025 President’s Cup at Accra Sports Stadium.
