GFA chief Kurt Okraku breaks ground on 40-bed Ghanaman Soccer Centre facility

The GFA President, Kurt Okraku, broke the ground for the development of a 40-bed accommodation facility at Prampram’s Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.
With the support of the Executive Council, Congress delegates, and former GFA officials, including Fred Pappoe and Emmanuel Gyimah, the ceremony showcases the association’s dedication to upgrading the Technical Center to meet global standards.
The GFA’s infrastructure development strategy heavily relies on the government’s World Cup 2022 allocation, making this project a significant part of their plan.
Supporting various national teams and hosting matches, the facility will contribute to the growth of Ghana football.
Okraku expressed gratitude to the Executive Council, Congress members, and the government for their support, showing his excitement.
“I am very excited to see today and celebrate the decision to construct a 40-bed accommodation facility here in Prampram,” he said.
“I am equally grateful to the Government for showing leadership in offering financial support in ensuring the realization of this fantastic project.”
The AstroTurf now features floodlights, new natural grass pitches, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, and a Futsal Arena.
The GFA’s commitment to enhancing football infrastructure and nurturing national talent is evident through these improvements.
Ghana’s national teams have greatly benefited from the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence since its establishment. By implementing these enhancements, it will solidify its position in fostering football talent throughout the country.
