Ghana’s former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, congratulated the Black Stars for qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

After a decisive victory on Sunday night at the Accra Sports Stadium, the four-time African champions finished with 25 points at the top of Group I, qualifying them for next year’s global tournament.

Dr. Bawumia shared a video message soon after the qualification, praising the team’s accomplishment and expressing national pride.

“Here we come!” he declared.

Otto Addo’s team will be eager to perform better next year after their early exit from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana will play in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, its fifth time playing after participating in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2022.
