Following Ghana’s dominant 5-0 and 3-0 victories over Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers (match days 5 and 6), they’re set to participate in a four-nation tournament later this year.
The Black Stars’ five victories against Mali, Chad, the Central African Republic, and Madagascar give them a 15-point lead in Group I, and they remain undefeated. However, they struggle with a 5-point deficit to Comoros—the only team to beat the Black Stars in qualifying and currently in second place. Winning ensures qualification for the World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
In an exclusive interview with 3Sports reporter Mutala Yakubu in Morocco, the Black Stars Management Committee Chairman unveiled the team’s plans for the June-July international break.
“Fortunately, the technical team and the management will have the opportunity to work together further. Because we don’t have qualifiers in June, we will be playing in a four-nation friendly in England. I’m sure it will be an opportunity for the coaches to do further work on the team. We hope that some of the injured players will also be back and will get an opportunity to play two games before the September internationals.”
This presentation is, among many others, scheduled for the remaining September qualifiers.
This is just one of several presentations scheduled for the remaining September qualifiers.
After missing the AFCON 2025 qualification, the Black Stars are focused on World Cup qualification.
