2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Black Stars are going into the Comoros game aiming for a win–Henry Asante Twum

According to Henry Asante Twum, the GFA’s Communications Director, the Black Stars will play Comoros with total focus and a winning mindset.

Following a resounding 5-0 win over the Central African Republic, Ghana is close to qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

The Black Stars are now focused on the crucial Sunday match at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Though needing only a point to secure their spot at the global event, Asante Twum stresses there’s no room for complacency in team prep.

“Everyone in camp knows that it is not over yet,” he said in an interview on Asempa FM.

“We are still in contention, and we are heading into the Comoros clash with a winning mentality,” he added.

The much-awaited game will start at 19:00 GMT, as Ghana currently leads Group I with 22 points.
