Liverpool have accepted a £10m bid from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The 26-year-old defender is moving to Spain’s capital on Sunday when the transfer window opens, signing a six-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu.
A €10m (£8.4m) payment from Real, combined with June’s wages, results in a total of £10m.
Initially, the La Liga team bid only €1 million for the right-back before his Liverpool contract expired on June 30.

Therefore, the Premier League champions will be paid £10m for a player leaving in a month’s time as a free agent.
They strongly desire Alexander-Arnold’s participation in the Club World Cup, commencing June 15. According to an unnamed official, the club values the release clause at €250 million (£210 million).
“The Spanish giants rate the now former Liverpool defender so highly, they wanted to tie him down to a lucrative six-year contract, which includes a weighty clause to deter any other clubs from approaching his contract.”
