Inzaghi is one of Europe’s most underestimated coaches – Stephen Appiah

According to former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah, Inter Milan’s manager Simone Inzaghi is among the best in Italy and deserves more acclaim.
He made these statements after Inter’s impressive 2-1 away win against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
“The insufficient recognition Inzaghi receives is disheartening. “Despite his Inter success, you won’t hear his name mentioned,” Appiah stated during the Betway Mallam goal podcast.”
“For years, they (Inter Milan) have dominated the Italian League. They are doing so well. Their impressive performance was on full display three seasons ago in Istanbul, where they faced off against Manchester City in the Champions League final,” he added.
Inzaghi’s coaching career has been exceptionally remarkable.
His coaching career began at Lazio, his former club where he was a striker, at age 48.
His coaching career with the Biancocelesti started with various youth teams before progressing to the senior team in 2016.
His leadership led Lazio to victory in the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana, Champions League qualification, and a knockout round appearance.
Inzaghi’s move to Inter Milan in 2021 brought new challenges and pressures.
His team has won six trophies, overcoming many challenges, including three straight Supercoppa Italiana titles (2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24), two consecutive Copa Italia titles (2021/22, 2022/23), and the historic 2023/24 Scudetto.
Inter Milan reached the Champions League final in the 2022-23 season but was defeated by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
This season, Inter Milan continues its pursuit of several more trophies.
Serie A’s leaders are three points clear of Napoli, under the guidance of former Nerazzurri, Chelsea, and Juventus manager Antonio Conte.
Inter Milan’s commanding 2-1 away win positions them for a Champions League semifinal berth, and they are determined to continue their strong performance in their bid for their first UCL trophy since 2010.
