Sportstribune reports Atalanta is about to sign Ghanaian international Kamaldeen Sulemana during the current transfer window.
Several clubs, including Atalanta and Genoa from Serie A, are interested in signing Sulemana for their 2025/26 season.
Atalanta’s opening £10 million bid for the Southampton winger was rejected, with Southampton seeking £10-20 million.
An improved bid means the quick Ghanaian winger’s transfer to Atalanta is imminent, according to Sportstribune. A second bid of nearly £15 million has been made by the Serie A club eager to sign Sulemana.
The transfer of the winger to Southampton from Atalanta is almost complete, with an expected move in the coming days.
The 23-year-old’s contributions to the recently concluded Premier League season included one goal and one assist from 26 appearances.
Sulemana could make his Serie A debut if he joins Atalanta.
Southampton’s Premier League season was a struggle, ending at the bottom of the table with only 12 points from 38 games.
His current deal with Southampton runs until the summer of 2027.
