Ajax is concerned about Kamaldeen Sulemana’s possible transfer

According to Dutch football journalist Mike Verweij, FIFA’s decision regarding Kamaldeen Sulemana’s loan move is still pending because Ajax submitted the necessary paperwork just 17 minutes before the transfer deadline.
Ajax and Southampton have agreed to loan the Ghanaian winger for the season, with a 20 million euro purchase option.
Ajax’s uncertainty arises from the timing of the submission, which makes them unsure about the confirmation of the deal.
Southampton signed Kamaldeen Sulemana from Rennes in France in January 2023 for a transfer fee of about 25 million euros.
With 44 appearances, the 22-year-old player for the Saints scored two goals and made four assists.
Sulemana’s impact has been limited due to recurring injuries. He missed 18 games last season and has not played in the Premier League this season.
Sulemana’s transfer to Ajax followed Steven Bergwijn’s move to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, creating an opening for the winger.
Sulemana sees this transfer as a chance to revive his career, as he needs more consistency in recent seasons.
Since the transfer window is closed, Ajax’s chances of signing Sulemana depend on FIFA’s decision.
The club and its supporters eagerly anticipate the finalization of the deal, pending the timely submission of paperwork.
