The BBC’s Gary Lineker calls Fatawu Issahaku special

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku received high praise from Gary Lineker, who called him a “special kid” after his outstanding performance in Leicester City’s win.
With Leicester trailing 2-0, the Ghana international came off the bench and instantly impacted, setting up the assist that sparked the Foxes’ impressive turnaround.
Issahaku outperformed every other player on the pitch with seven touches in the opposition box.
Before his header, he hit the crossbar with a powerful shot and almost equalized for Steve Cooper’s team. His effort earned a penalty, which Jamie Vardy converted to make it 2-2. Finally, in the 97th minute, Jordan Ayew scored the winning goal to complete the comeback.
Lineker, a Foxes legend, couldn’t contain his admiration for Fatawu’s performance.
Lineker admired the 21-year-old’s comeback, saying, “What a performance.” What a win.
“The game changed when Abdul Fatawu came on. As a Leicester fan, my kids follow Leicester as well. Every time we see the teamsheet, and he’s not in it, we go, ‘Oh no, not again. Why is he not playing? This kid is special.'”
Questions have been raised about why Fatawu hasn’t been a regular starter despite his impressive performance in the match.
His impressive assists and attacking skills made the Foxes’ notable win possible, further establishing his reputation in English football.
Leicester City’s Abdul Fatawu Issahaku looks to continue his excellent performance as they face Nottingham Forest at the King Power Stadium on Friday.
