Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Fabian Hurzeler says Tariq Lamptey’s contract extension is a big boost as the club looks to build momentum ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Brighton’s Ghanaian star has signed a one-year extension, ending transfer talk.
Since his Brighton debut in 2020, the 24-year-old has developed into one of the club’s most dynamic wingers.
“We’re thrilled Tariq will remain with our team,” Hurzeler stated. “He provides our game with pace, energy, and intelligence. His desire to aid the team in accomplishing its objectives is precisely the kind of mindset we require”.
Lamptey featured in 20 matches across all competitions last season, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
With 122 appearances, five goals, and 12 assists, he’s made a significant contribution to Brighton since leaving Chelsea.
