Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the English Premier League Player of the Month award for February following his impressive form.
The in-form forward received the nomination after a strong start with Manchester City.
Semenyo has scored five Premier League goals in seven appearances for the title contenders, including three in February.
The 26-year-old scored in City’s 2–2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur and added goals in wins over Fulham and Leeds United.
He will compete for the award with City teammate Nico O’Reilly, Arsenal’s Viktor Gyokeres, Brentford’s Dango Ouattara, Manchester United’s Benjamin Sesko, and Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk.
Although this is Semenyo’s second nomination this season, he is still seeking his first Player of the Month award.
The England-born forward joined Manchester City during the winter transfer window from AFC Bournemouth in a deal worth £62.5 million.
