Jarell Quansah is on the verge of signing a new long-term deal with Liverpool.
It is believed to be a fresh five-year contract, as per Sky Sports News.
All parties have agreed that the academy graduate should continue at Anfield.
Quansah has solidified his place in the Liverpool first-team squad, starting in the opening-day win against Ipswich and the EFL Cup win against West Ham.
He has been benched for the past six Premier League games and two Champions League matches.
At the same time, Liverpool is negotiating with Ibrahima Konate, another center-back, regarding a new agreement.
With his current contract lasting until 2026, there’s no immediate pressure to finalize a deal.
